Golnaz Farmani (*1984) is a Performance Artist, based in Germany, who has a focus on political and social issues and is interested in performance possibilities. She has completed her second master´s degree in Scenic Research at Ruhr University Bochum in 2020, emphasizing immigration matters. She took part in several theater projects mostly as an actress and also as a dramaturgical consultant while developing her performative structures as a director.
Having a perceptual curiosity for questioning the concept and dynamics of power in social contexts, she has done different research on women´s rights previously in Iran, followed by immigration concerns in the past few years in Germany. She enthusiastically participates in her performances and gives herself a voice alongside her audience’s.
